Update! Two moves, one 3 miles and one 964.4 miles!

After holding lgxkls' John's stegasaurus emcache TB racer for two months, cacher magicme200 has placed it into this Hertfordshire cache, adding 3 miles to it's distance travelled.

Meanwhile, Hungarian cacher somloci has placed uk89camaro's Piston head Pete emcache racer Travel Bug into his upcoming Lost and Found Event Cache in Loughborough, adding not just 964.4 miles to Pete's distance travelled, but also adding the second asterisk needed to show that a race entry has returned to the UK after an overseas visit.

Update! Good news for Garland Gang, great news for OceanBlue!

Good news for Garland Gang, as both of their entries in the 2009 / 2010 EmCache TB Race have been retrieved; JACKO by Kent-based cacher tony_c and, after an interminable 5 months in the same cache, LOUIS' VROOM VROOM!! by Leeds-based cacher Budlaw.

Great news for oceanblue07970 as her TB, Pat's Special delivery, believed lost, has been picked up by Scottish cacher N.I.B.

In fact, it turns out that Pat was never lost at all. A well-respected cacher recorded a DNF on the cache that Pat was in and so the Cache Owner assumed that the cache had gone missing and posted the TB's enclosed as missing, when in fact the cache was still present and has had 6 finders since it was reported muggled, and at least one of those finders didn't take OceanBlue's Travel Bug because it wasn't logged into that cache, thanks to the Cache Owners posting it as missing!

Update! Two race entries retrieved

So much for my theory that greedygreenfrog's Greedy Green Frog Adventure Guide would be stuck in a German TB Hotel for some time, as it has already been collected by German cacher thuladog!

In other news; something to please geohunter-x after he posted a note pleading for someone to take his Horsey Neigh Neigh Travel Bug overseas. Georgia, U.S.A. based cachers swisscache have retrieved his TB and are planning to take it home to The Peach State next week. I wonder if that will be by boat?

Update! Mrs Web Rat's GeoCoin back in action at last

Kent cachers The leckie boys have finally placed Mrs Web Rat's GeoCoin into this cache in Kent, adding 2.2 miles to it's race distance, after holding it for more than six months, during which time they claim to have taken it to New Zealand but forgotten to place (or even dip) it into a cache!

In other news, current 3rd-place holder in the race greedygreenfrog's Greedy Green Frog has been placed into yet another German TB hotel. It may be there for some time though, as there is a huge number of trackables to choose from in this one. Is the Greedy Green Frog cute enough to appeal to someone?

Update! TWR's geocoin still going Dutch, geopirate4's going going gone

Second attempt at updating today. Probably just a case of not saving the first attempt properly!

Firstly, The Web Rat's EmCache Racer GeoCoin has been placed into this multi-cache in The Netherlands, adding 30.8 miles to it's total race distance covered.

In other news, geopirate4's almost identical GeoCoin has unfortunately been listed as whereabouts unknown after the Cache Owner of the cache that it was logged into has confirmed that the entire cache and all contents have disappeared.

Update! Has Itchy lost his crown?

Pineconecollie placed ITCHYthirdEYE's Itchys' Crown Jewels TB into this cache, thereby becoming the first EmCache TB Race entry to visit Dorset. It was retrieved two days later by cacher dave-harris who has reported that the Travel Bug Dog Tag has shed it's Crown Jewels hitchhiker.

In other news, Dutch cacher FRLK has reported finding The Web Rat's geocoin in his caching bag, meaning that he didn't place it into Ronje Sportief Alphen: BONUS. We'll count that as a dip then!

Additionally, Hungarian cachers paleo.team placed uk89camaro's Piston head Pete TB into this Budapest cache from where it was immediately retrieved by cacher somloci, who is well-acquainted with The East Midlands, having spent some time in Loughborough, and attended the EmCache Hilton Event Cache in March.

Update! Greedy Green Frog moves into top 3 position

Greedygreenfrog's Greedy Green Frog Adventure Guide Racer has moved up into the Bronze Medal position in the 2009 / 2010 EmCache TB Race after being dropped into this German cache.

The two TB's that Greedy Green Frog has leap-frogged are Johnny B. Goode's You want fries with that? TB and Sukygoeswandering's From Leicestershire with love TB which are both resident in a cache that three consecutive cachers have logged DNF's on. Hopefully these two TBs won't be joining oceanblue07970 and Katie 2000's (and probably geopirate4's) race entries on the Whereabouts Unknown list!

Monday 5 April 2010

Update! It's all-action Monday!

Lots of updates today; firstly German cacher jule83 has logged that he retrieved greedygreenfrog's Greedy Green Frog Adventure Guide two weeks ago from the German TB hotel that it was resting in.

Secondly, cacher Norfolkbirder has retrieved race leader niknrich's Nosey Pup Travel Bug from the Lincolnshire event cache that he placed it into.

After these two retrievals it's time to list the drops; cachers stacey + chase have placed Geohunter-X's Horsey Neigh Neigh into an unpublished new cache in Hilton, Derbyshire (possible FTF for The Web Rat?) adding 102.3 miles to it's total distance travelled which puts it into the lead of the TB race entries that have only travelled within the United Kingdom.

Next is lgxkls' Karon's Promise TB which has been placed into this cache in Herefordshire, adding 112.1 miles to it's distance travelled.

Finally, Garland Gang's JACKO Travel Bug has been placed in this puzzle cache in Swindon, adding 145.1 miles to it's distance travelled.

Meanwhile, Norfolkbirder placed current race leader niknrich's Nosey Pup Travel Bug into this interesting event cache in Lincolnshire, extending the pup's already impressive race lead by another 20.9 miles.
