Update! Catching up with Karon's Promise

Lgxkls' Karon's Promise Travel Bug was collected by Cornish cacher Gorraine on February 13th. The next time that the TB was heard from was when cachers Vodor and Scorsby grabbed it from Gorraine, having found it unlogged in a St. Austell cache. Despite enquiries from both myself and TB owner lgxkls, Vodor and Scorsby are keeping mum regarding which cache in particular they retrieved Karon's Promise from.

After studying their finds, I believe that lgxkls' TB was found in this now-archived cache and have calculated the milage into and out of that cache. If this proves to be incorrect, I can adjust the distance travelled later.

What isn't in doubt is that Vodor and Scorsby placed the Bug into this cache, from where it was retrieved by cacher MadBilly. All of these moves adds (a provisional) 51 miles to Karon's Promise's total distance travelled, leapfrogging the muggled Pat's Special Delivery, owned by oceanblue07970.

Update! Wherditgo?

The cache that The Web Rat's geocoin has been placed in has been published, and it's a wherigo, the first one involved in the 2009/2010 EmCache TB Race. Unfortunately it's already been temporarily disabled due to problems, but hopefully not for long.

Dutch cacher Jeebeevee placed The Web Rat's EMcache Racer Geocoin into this cache from where it was promptly retrieved by the wonderfully-named Zwolle-based cacher HonderdProcentJan who immediately placed it into an unpublished cache named JLG: Frits Flitz en de verborgen Patrouillekist, these moves adding 60.6 miles to it's total distance travelled.

Norfolkbirder has retaken possession of niknrich's Nosey Pup Travel Bug and is suggesting that he may take it to Trinidad and Tobago. I wonder if he may be persuaded to consider leaving it there? ;-)

Unfortunately several visitors to the Nazeingwood Common #10 (Very) Old Oak cache have confirmed to me that Katie 2000's Needles TB is not present in the cache (although one logged cacher has not responded to my emails, so perhaps they have the missing trackable), so I've sadly changed it's location to whereabouts unknown.

A little experiment

As an experiment I've added what I believe are called badges to the righthand sidebar showing pictures of race entries, with their current location and milage. If you click on the badge you will be taken to that entry's page.

This only works if you have a picture of your trackable on it's page, so a few entries are missing at the moment.

Ghost Rockers have dropped former race leader Rascalgaskells' EmCache Racer - Cachehopper Travel Bug into this popular cache in Derbyshire, adding 34.6 miles to it's total distance travelled.

Meanwhile current race leader niknrich's EmCache Racer: Nosey Pup Travel Bug has been retrieved by Norfolkbirder from the Event Cache that he placed it into and The Web Rat's EmCache Racer Geocoin has been picked up by Dutch cachers 4 steentjes.

Whatever happened to the 2009/2010 EmCache TB Race counties visited map? Wonder no more, because here is the latest version (based on one found here) with added Hertfordshire, Shropshire and Scottish Highland Region goodness;

Niknrich's EMcache Racer: Nosey Pup Travel Bug has bounded up the rankings in the 2009/2010 EmCache TB Race after Norfolkbirder dipped him into this GPS Adventures Exhibit and then this traditional cache adding 3614.6 miles (and the coveted overseas travel asterisk) to his total distance travelled, and is now intending to place him into an Event Cache in the UK shortly.
