Update! New Race Leader!!

EmCache members The Blorenges have placed Itchys' Crown Jewels TB into this cache in South Wales, (which my GPSr told me was at 1265ft above sea-level when I found it last August), adding 2301.7 miles to it's total distance travelled, easily putting it into the race lead as well as adding it's second asterisk, to show that it has travelled overseas and returned to the UK.

Considering only Travel Bugs and GeoCoins that are at present resting in caches, the one furthest away from the starting point is uk89camaro's EmCache Racer - Piston head Pete and co-pilot Dave, who is 'armless Travel Bug (which may no longer be in a cache, but that's another story) at 615 miles away, while the closest is niknrich's EmCache Racer: Nosey Pup Travel Bug, which is 15.2 miles away from Bradgate.

Update! A little detective work in Germany

Although the cacher in question has not responded to an email query, it appears that peachleaf's EmCache Racer GeoCoin was collected from Der WOMO-Cache on December 29th (the day after it was placed there) by German cachers liemon who then placed it into this multi-cache in Oberhausen on January 20th, from where it was collected the same day by TeamPaul. I've therefore added 23.1 miles (the distance between Der WOMO-Cache and Am Grafenbusch Im Grafenbusch) to peachleaf's coin's total milage.

In other news, Lucky Lottie's Holiday Bug TB has been picked up by cacher Tina Franziska, which means that all of the Top Ten EmCache TB Race entries are currently "I.H.O." cachers.

Update! See The Crown Jewels along The Nile

Itchys' Crown Jewels are walking like an Egyptian and it's nothing to do with an itchy third eye, as EmCache members The Blorenges have dipped Itchy's EmCache TB Racer into this cache in Cairo, Egypt, becoming the first race entry to visit the African continent. This moves Itchys' Crown Jewels up to 5th place overall in the race and bumps lgxkls' Karon's Promise TB out of the top ten race positions.
